It’s Not Just 7-Eleven! Other Convenience Stores in Japan Are Also Recommended!

7-Eleven might be the most well-known to people from overseas, but there are two other major convenience stores in Japan.

One of them is “Lawson.” Like 7-Eleven, Lawson offers a wide variety of items such as bread, rice balls, prepared foods, bento boxes, and sweets.

A particularly famous item is the “Karaage-kun,(からあげくん)” a fried chicken nugget sold at the “fried food” section near the cash register.

It’s delicious, so be sure to try it.

Another one is “FamilyMart.” This store also offers similar products to those found in 7-Eleven and Lawson.

However, the taste and content of items, like sandwiches, can differ from one store to another, so I recommend trying products from each convenience store to find your favorite.

Other Convenience Stores

The three major convenience stores mentioned above are the most famous, but there are others as well, such as “Daily Yamazaki,(デイリーヤマザキ)” “Mini Stop,(ミニストップ)” “Poplar,(ポプラ)” and “Seicomart.(セイコーマート)”

Although these stores sell similar types of products, if you want to enjoy the convenience store experience in Japan, you can confidently enter any store, as they all sell staples like rice balls and sandwiches. Don’t hesitate to explore them!
